BAUTISTA KO’S MENDOZA, SERVANIA AND FUENTES DELIVER RESOUNDING WINS

Lapu-lapu City – In a blood and guts performance that was reminiscent of the great ring battles more than half a century ago, Rey ‘BoomBoom” Bautista engaged Mexican knockout artist Miguel Angel Mendoza in a spine-tingling exchange of power shots that brought the thousands who packed the Hoops Dome to their feet.
Bautista sent Mendoza down twice in the opening round with short quick lefts. Mendoza ended the round with a bloodied nose but stormed back in the second; he had Bautista reeling on two occasions as he pounded the body and head.
